She had to make changes that weren't planned but turned out great. Writing the script for the second film was difficult because of how much they had to undo or figure out how to incorporate things from the first movie.Her biggest hobby outside of writing is watching K-Dramas and Korean films.She also relates to Karina from her "The Brightest Stars" series. They have similar personalities, except Anna jokes that she isn't as volatile as Hardin or as dark. Anna relates the most to Hardin due to their shared childhood trauma and sense of humor.She also liked when Hardin mouthed the word, " fuck" since it was the closest they could get to cursing with the PG-13 limitation. One of her favorite lines from the movie After is, " we can't ever just be friends".One of her favorite songs is Blood Bank by Bon Iver.Anna joined After stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes-Tiffin on their press junkets.
She was on set every day for pre-production, filming, and production for both movies.
As a stand to support her decision, she didn't show up for the other actor's auditions. When Anna first saw Hero Fiennes-Tiffin's audition for Hardin, she told the producers she wanted Hero.The caption jokingly said that Anna, " lets him direct sometimes". After We Collided director Roger Kumble posted a picture of Anna behind the camera screen.She was greatly involved in the casting and pre-production part for both films.As a teenager and young adult, she enjoyed classic novels.
