I really enjoyed how the different perspectives joined together during the last third of the novel. One of the most enjoyable things for me while reading was the timeline.

Valin is one of my new favorite characters, and his condition/circumstances gives a voice to most who never see that kind of representation. That was believable, and the story never branched off in unrealistic ways.

The side characters were flushed out and not just props, which is usually lacking in most fantasy stories. I felt all of her emotions - the good and the bad - and her journey throughout the story was well developed. The world was somehow unique but familiar, and Keralie was a dynamic, exciting heroine. I had heard nothing but amazing things, so I went into it with high expectations. I was incredibly thankful to get my hands on an early copy of this debut. Hello, everyone! I’m back and at it with a review today! It’s been a couple months since there was any consistent posting on this blog, but I’m hopefully here to change that! If you haven’t picked up Four Dead Queens yet, I suggest you do yourself a favor!
